Hi Michael,
What is the art scene in Dallas like nowadays? I was talking to a friend who lives there and she said nothing happens... I told her I knew of at least one art gallery there (yours), so it couldn't be dead. tata_fontenelle@yahoo.com
Thanks :-)

Hey, who's your friend? I might know her. You can email me if you want to.

As to the art in Dallas, the gallery situation is better than it has been for years. Besides the established galleries, such as Gerald Peters, Conduit, Barry Whistler, Dunn & Brown, there are newer ones such as Holly Johnson, Craighead-Green, and very new ones such as Road Agent, Art Prostitute, Decorazon, Canvas, and Marty Ray.

All those I mentioned show contemporary art, including nationally known artists and local Texas ones. Summer can be a little slow but September generally starts the 'season' of openings and new art. Check out the internet for those galleries I mentioned. Most have websites and schedules.

Hmmm! I'm getting a feeling of Birch Bark from this one Michael.

Yes, John, I like that reference. Someone else had thoughts of Braque, and Mondrian's tree series.

Maybe you just came up with it's new title! "Birch"
